The Origin Story
Tara’s passion for construction and design began in childhood, accompanying her father to commercial air conditioning and heating jobsites. Surrounded by plans and tools, she observed the coordination and skill required to bring projects to life. These early experiences shaped her fascination with building and laid the foundation for a career rooted in craftsmanship and collaboration.
After earning a B.A. in Accounting, Tara began her career at J.M. Haley Corp., where she learned every aspect of the construction business and ultimately advanced to Chief Financial Officer. After fifteen years with the company, she stepped away to raise her family full time.
In 2020, Tara returned with renewed focus, founding Haley Design Company while earning her degree in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design, The New School.
